One of the highest costs to
business is occupying commercial property. It can
also be the least rewarding and productive in terms
of location,
type and size, or simply quality of environment and
facilities.
The problems associated with under-performing
property and facilities are easily recognised. Identifying,
implementing and financing a suitable solution can be
considerably more difficult. This is particularly the
case where an integrated solution requires a coordinated
approach from a variety of sources in different locations.
Investment of time and money is always
required to implement a new property services strategy
- starting from the initial development of options, through
to completion. Coupled with financial and operational
uncertainty, many organisations decide to live with the
'status quo' and not deliver the property and facilities
that the business deserves or indeed requires for the
future.
